It Happened One Season Cabdice Hern

Captain Nathaniel Beckwith has been something of a recluse since returning from the great battle at Waterloo, preferring his own company over the pretentious prattling of London society. But now family duty has forced the gruff soldier into the throes of the social Season to find a bride.

Philippa Reynolds is facing yet another Season as a wallflower. Despite a disability that prevents her from dancing, her mother insists she join in the balls and other social events in hopes of finding a man who will overlook her limp.

He needs a wife but has no wish to play the games required of the Marriage Mart. She would like to be married but has no hopes of ever doing so. Could they perhaps join forces to avoid all the fuss of the Season and enter into a marriage of convenience?
