We saw my husbands primary doctor the very next day and she told me about cobra, she wanted me to get it in the works now so they new it would not be a cheap deal they would have to pay 65%.
Well I did and Human Recourses had NO idea she was doing this and both of the unions (Cna and Cwa) are now in every meeting, even staffing. I may have lost my job? (And that is a question, so many have spoken out about the cruelty and she (the boss) had no right to do it, so I am still getting 2-4 days in a pay cycle, that covers the insurance and a little more. The letter is still going around the hospital and now the 180 MT/UC/CNA's will not be let go on 12/31/09 as this boss had planned. Also if anyone is to be let go both of the unions will be there to help decide who and why. The boss will have very little say in the matter.
A petition is now going around the hospital for all to sign to stop this and return all support staff. Doctors and Nurses are signing it as well.
I have all of Lee's medical records together and we will be seeing an attorney to see if we have a case. If I do I'm going to file, that will open the door for KOLO news’s. The Hospital has been blocking them. I wanted to post this so all of you wonderful people could see what has been going on.
Lee has a new wheelchair and cane, his surgical doctor was very upset when he read the letter he had us in his office the next day. They need to go into the old site and remove something from where the broken hemovac was, the hospital did not chart it but his surgical PA did, hummmmm, another thing I found was the hospital had admitted him as a DNR, that takes a doctors order they did not have. God was with me when I did not go home and leave him until he was resting quietly
Lee has another case of pneumonia, but we caught it and understand now he can go from espouser to pneumonia in only 6 hours; that is a scary thing in itself. He is on oxygen most of the time now.
Please keep the prayers coming, I know that is our salvation. Now I cry a lot and we hug, each day is a gift. The Christmas tree is the one we purchased in Lake Almoner, a happy time, when Lee was custom building hoses.
Thank-you all and may God bless and keep you safe. Hugs Grandma Scott
